Enterprise security has been Zubair’s passion well before 9/11. He holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. In addition, he holds several security certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA), and Security+. Since he wrote his first book on a security topic in 2000, Zubair has written extensively on privacy and security topics, spoken publicly at numerous conferences, workshops, and Webinars; taught many security courses over the years to the public and private organizations, and offered training/consulting services to the U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy on cybersecurity matters.
Microsoft recognized him by presenting him the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for inspiring excellence while helping people through his past recognized practical expertise and demonstrated willingness to share with peers in technical communities around the globe. He has received the prestigious annual MVP award 12 years in a row, first in Windows Server, then in Directory Services, followed by SharePoint Server category.
